Tom Achilles is a New York based comedian, writer, and actor.

His eclectic style blends elements of surrealism, stream of consciousness, and wordplay that satirize the absurdities of modern life. Tom’s approach is encapsulated in his debut comedy album Guillotine which is available for streaming on all platforms. His sense of humor is also showcased in Zeitgeist Meetup, a book of gag cartoons he co-authored with New Yorker cartoonist Pat Achilles.

In 2023, his digital comedy sketch “America’s Got Tom” was profiled by Vulture for their “Best Comedy Shorts” segment. He also wrote and did voiceover work for the Troma Entertainment video game Poultrygeist and acted in the UNILAD prank call web series “Don’t Hang Up!” Tom’s humor writing has been published in Points in Case most recently with his list of “Lesser-Known Chess Openings.” His comedy show Ye Ol’ Triple Crown was also featured in a video from VICE

Achilles has performed original work at popular NYC establishments such as Joe’s Pub, Union Hall, The Slipper Room, Under St. Mark’s and many more. In addition to regular shows around New York, he has been a featured performer at Solocom, The Very Normal Festival, Standup 360, and Philly Fringe’s Cannonball Festival.

Back in the day, Tom was a semi-finalist in the 2009 “Philly’s Phunniest Comedian Contest” at Helium and a finalist in the 2013 “DC’s Funniest College Student Competition” at the DC Improv. He grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and attended American University in Washington, DC where he earned a degree in Communications. He is a Scorpio.
